LeBron James is now the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar last night in LA. King James dropped 38 points on the Oklahoma City Thunder to go three points ahead of Abdul-Jabbar on the career scoring list. The game was stopped for a ceremony in the third quarter when James scored his 36th point of the night. The Thunder won the game, 133-130.

In Bloomington, the 18th ranked Indiana Hoosiers followed up Saturday’s win over top ranked Purdue with a 66-to-60 win over number 24 Rutgers, avenging an earlier loss in Piscataway. Trayce Jackson-Davis led the Hoosiers with 20 points and 18 rebounds, and Miller Kopp added 18 as the Hoosiers improved to 17-and-7, 8-and-5 in Big Ten play. Also last night in East Lansing, Michigan State downed Maryland, 63-58.

Tonight, Notre Dame takes on ACC foe Georgia Tech in Atlanta, with coverage rolling at 6:30 for a 7pm tipoff here on Sports Radio 960 WSBT. Tonight’s Big Ten schedule has Michigan hosting Nebraska, and Wisconsin at Penn State. Top ranked Purdue plays Thursday at home against Iowa.

We’re now starting to hear some names as Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman looks to replace departed offensive coordinator Tommy Rees. Blue and Gold.com reports names under consideration include Toledo head coach Jason Candle, Colorado offensive coordinator Sean Lewis, Utah offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig, Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, and former Tampa Bay Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich. Rees left last week to become offensive coordinator under Nick Saban at Alabama.

In the NBA last night, the Chicago Bulls took a 104-to-89 loss to the Grizzlies in Memphis. Tonight’s schedule includes the Detroit Pistons at Cleveland, and the Indiana Pacers at Miami.

In hockey, the Chicago Blackhawks took a 3-to-2 overtime loss at home against Anaheim. In Detroit, the Redwings lost to the Edmonton Oilers, 5-to-2.
