Among college players working this week to impress NFL scouts at the Senior Bowl are Notre Dame defensive end Isaiah Foskey and lineman Jarrett Patterson. They get three practice sessions with scouts watching, plus the Senior Bowl game Saturday afternoon. Foskey is currently projected as a second round pick in the April NFL draft. Most experts project Patterson as a Day 3 selection, meaning fourth round or lower. Both have been invited to the NFL combine, along with tight end Michael Mayer and safety Brandon Joseph.

A big night for Purdue’s Mason Gillis at Mackey Arena last night, as he scored a career high 29 points in the number one ranked Boilers 80-to-60 win over Penn State. Zach Edey dominated the paint, as usual, 18 points, 13 rebounds, and a couple of blocked shots as Purdue moves to 22-and-1 on the season. The Boilers head to Bloomington Saturday for a 4pm tipoff in Assembly Hall against the 21st ranked Indiana Hoosiers.

Tonight’s Big Ten schedule includes Michigan at Northwestern, 7pm on ESPN2. Wisconsin is at Ohio State, also at 7 on FS1.

Ninth ranked Notre Dame women’s basketball looks to get back in the win column tonight at Boston College. Sean Stires has the call starting at 6:45 on sister station Live 99-9. Coach Niele Ivey’s Irish are back at Purcell Pavilion Sunday at one against Duke. The Irish men are at home Saturday at one against Wake Forest. Tony Simeone has the call starting at 12:30 here on Sports Radio 960 WSBT.

The NBA schedule tonight has the Chicago Bulls at home in the United Center against the Charlotte Hornets. The Indiana Pacers face LeBron James and the LA Lakers in Indy tonight.

Notre Dame hockey has a two game Big Ten weekend at Michigan State starting tomorrow night. The puck drops at 7pm, with Saturday’s game set for 4pm, both called by Darin Pritchitt on Quality Rock Z 94-3.
