The Buffalo Bills season came to an end Sunday at home, as the Cincinnati Bengals ignored the falling snow and built and early two touchdown lead. The Bills could not overcome the early deficit in a 27-20 loss. The Bengals are on to the AFC Championship game this Sunday in Kansas City against the Chiefs, who downed Jacksonville Saturday, 27-20.

The San Francisco 49ers punched their ticket to the NFC title game Sunday with a 19-to-12 home win over the Dallas Cowboys. The ‘niners will head to Philadelphia this Sunday to face the Eagles, who dominated the New York Giants Saturday, 38-to-7. Eagles and 49ers at 3 Sunday, Bengals and Chiefs at 6:30, both games yours via Westwood One here on Sports Radio 960 WSBT.

They won the game, but 7th ranked Irish women’s basketball may have lost a key player for the season during Sunday’s 76-54 home win over Virginia. Less than two minutes into the game, grad student guard Dara Mabrey went down with a knee injury, and did not return. Mabrey has started every game since she came to Notre Dame. The Irish next play Thursday at home against Florida State.

The Irish men took an 84-72 loss to Boston College Saturday at Purcell Pavilion. They head to North Carolina State tomorrow night here on Sports Radio 960 WSBT.

In the Big Ten Sunday, 3rd ranked Purdue over Maryland, 58-55. Indiana beat Michigan State 82-69, and Michigan over Minnesota 60-to-56.

Notre Dame hockey split a pair at Penn State over the weekend, winning Friday 2-to-1, losing Saturday 3-to-2. Wisconsin comes to the Compton Family Ice Arena this Friday and Saturday.

In the NHL, the Chicago Blackhawks lost at home to the LA Kings Sunday, 2-to-1.
