Notre Dame offensive coordinator Tommy Rees, if that’s still what he is, may be making a big career decision right about now. The ex-Irish quarterback is among the hot young college football coaches out there, and the point was proven this week as none other than Nick Saban at Alabama appaerntly decided to target Rees to be his new offensive coordinator. Rees last year turned down a chance to join Brian Kelly at LSU to stay in South Bend under coach Marcus Freeman, but Saban could be tougher to turn down. Losing Rees would be blow to Notre Dame, and could potentially change the minds of some transfers and recruits, notably Sam Hartman, considered right now the likely starting quarterback this fall.
