In a season filled with amazing moments and thrilling victories, Notre Dame ran into a team and program that will likely now be talked about as one of the best in college football history.

Alabama beat the Irish, 42-14, earning the Crimson Tide their second straight national championship and third in four years.

The final Associated Press poll out Tuesday morning dropped Notre Dame to 4th in the final rankings behind Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State.

WSBT Sports Director Pete Byrne was at the game and talked to the Irish afterward, including a disappointed Notre Dame locker room.
