SOUTH BEND – A convicted killer, accused of another murder after being released from prison, may not go to trial on Wednesday as originally planned.
49-year-old Tarrance Lee is accused of killing his wife Trina Winston in August in Mishawaka.
Lee asked for a speedy trial, but now his attorney has filed a waiver.
He's asking for a bench trial and the judge to serve as the jury.
The judge will hold a hearing on this motion on Wednesday. If the judge grants the request the trial will still start right away.
We are still waiting to find out if Trina Winston's body has been found.
A utility worker found a body in the Chicago area last month, a body police believe was Winston.
Autopsy results that could identify the body are not back yet.
Lee was convicted of murder in South Bend in the 80's.
