Brownsburg to lift water ban Wednesday evening

The Town of Brownsburg will lift its mandatory watering restrictions beginning Wednesday evening.

The ban, which was effective since mid-July, will be lifted at 6 p.m.

Town officials said thanks to customer compliance with the ban, Brownsburg is pumping on average 700,000 gallons per day less than before the restrictions.  Additionally, due to the recent rainfall, the town’s water towers are maintaining adequate levels to lift the ban.

“We are pleased that residents and businesses were so cooperative with the Town’s effort to conserve water during the drought this summer,” said town manager Grant Kleinhenz. “We are asking customers to continue to use good judgment to help keep water demand low.”

There were 66 notices of violation issued in Brownsburg during the watering ban.
