He arrived Friday night on a horse drawn sleigh, leading a parade down Michigan Street. He lit the Christmas tree at the "John Hunt plaza" in front of the Morris.
His arrival was even celebrated with fireworks.
Children also enjoyed games, cookies and other activities at Santa's Workshop near the College Football Hall of Fame.
Santa's workshop will be open varying hours on the weekends until Christmas.
