For the last two days, police and family members of Sarah "Callie" Cox have been asking for the public's help in finding the missing South Bend teen who left home Friday afternoon.

WSBT got word early Sunday afternoon from Sgt. William Redman of the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department that Callie has been found safe and sound.

Callie's mother, Donna, told police she located her daughter in downtown South Bend near the Morris Performing Arts Center.

Callie, who is 16, has high-functioning autism and bipolar disorder, is hearing impaired and needs medication to prevent life-threatening seizures, so the news of her discovery is great relief to her loved ones.

Callie's family told police she was claiming to have been kicked out of her home, but actually, the teen was sent to her room for being disrespectful.

Police are thanking everyone for their help in finding the teen.
