UNION, Mich. – Cass County police say a 42-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition after she was struck by a vehicle in Union on Christmas Eve.
This happened around 6:30 p.m. Police say a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Franklin Strawser of Constantine was heading eastbound on U.S. 12 near Union Road when he hit Lori Wilkes of Jones.
Wilkes was taken to Memorial Hospital in South bend.
Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash, say police. The investigation is ongoing.
