ELKHART – Three days ago, an Elkhart bar burned to the ground.

On Tuesday, we learned they're already back on track to rebuild.

"My Dad's Place" on State Road 19 near Simonton Lake went up in flames early Saturday morning forcing about 25 people out of a job.

It still smells like smoke out there and the rubble just lies there now covered in a layer of fresh snow.

"It always has been my second home," said owner of "My Dad's Place", Sandy Rogers.

Rogers got a call around 5 a.m. Saturday when she learned her bar was on fire.

"At first, I was concerned about my employees," she said. "I was devastated after that."

Recovering from the fire is very emotional for the community.

Many are wondering what caused this place to go up in flames. The Osolo Fire Department requested help from the Indiana Fire Marshal, and the investigation is now in their hands, but it's not over just yet.

Rogers didn't want to comment on the investigation. She's focused on the future.

"I'm real excited to build another "My Dad's Place," Rogers said. "I'm excited to get the plans going. I've got a couple construction companies I'm talking to."

There's an employee meeting on Friday to talk about the future of My Dad's Place.

In the meantime, Flippin Cow, a restaurant across the street, is trying to hire some of those who lost their jobs from the fire.
