A building that is sitting empty in South Bend right now will be filled with more than 300 workers next year, and possibly even more in the future.
Curtis Products is moving into the former Bosch building.
This morning South Bend's redevelopment approved a lease in a unanimous vote. This move will put the company's current 325 employees in one location.
The tube bending company is currently scattered in four different buildings in the Monroe Park area, south of downtown.
Curtis says this re-location will also allow it to expand, invest in new equipment and add jobs. Curtis Products plans to make their move by May first. They have plans to add 9 more jobs with a tax abatement and possibly even more in the future if the company keeps growing.
