The cold weather is keeping most of us indoors unless you're in Buchanan. For the second year in a row, "Thrill on the Hill" is back!

What's normally a busy road has turned into a place buzzing with excitement.

"When you go down the ramp, you catch some air and it's really fun," said sledder Chloe Mittan.

The Buchanan Police Department closed off East Front Street for the second annual Thrill on the Hill.

There's a large ramp and a small hill with a tunnel underneath.

"You first get scared and then you find out that it's not that scary," said sledder Campbell Swem.

There's even a snow cave for kids to crawl through and tic-tac-toe to play.

"It's a good time, family time and time with your siblings and friends and it's just a blast," said Mittan.

But kids are mainly there to go sledding.

"Because there's a lot of snow and we like going out to play," said Alyssa Stevenson.

And thanks to Mother Nature, they get to play all they want while trying to stay warm.

"We're really bundled up. We got quite a few pairs of pants on, shirts on, snow pants and jackets," said Lexi North. Bundled up, but having a blast.

Thrill on the Hill continues Saturday on Front Street. Events start at 11 in the morning and continue until 9 p.m. Wristbands are $3 and that includes tube rentals.
