Kelly becomes the first two-time winner of the award after winning it in 2009 while at Cincinnati. He led the Irish to a 12-0 record this season and a spot in the Jan. 7 BCS Championship game against Alabama.
Eifert becomes the first ND player to win the Mackey, and becomes the first player to win the award and play for the national title in the same season. The senior from Fort Wayne had 44 receptions for 624 yards and four touchdowns this season. He was a finalist for the Mackey last season.
Kelly and Eifert will be recognized on Thursday at The Home Depot College Football Awards at 7:30 (Eastern) on ESPN.
