ELKHART – We now know officially when an Elkhart plant is closing: It's tomorrow.
More than 200 workers at Gunite were told over the summer, they would likely lose their jobs by next year. Parent company Accuride is moving manufacturing operations from Elkhart to Rockford, Illinois.
Gunite makes machine brake drums and hubs for the commercial vehicle industry.
According to Accuride's website the closing happens at the end of November. Friday is the last day of November.
