Police in Elkhart County are investigating four possible cases of police impersonation in the last month, with the latest instance happening on Thursday.
Police say a woman reported someone trying to intimidate her by impersonating an officer at a gas station in Elkhart.
Then, on January 9, Elkhart County police say a person reported someone impersonating an officer on County Road 4.
There were two other reports filed on January 3 and December 20 — one on Bristol Street, the other at a Wal-Mart.
