That might be the way "Simpsons" character Comic Book Guy would describe Florida Supercon 2011, an annual confab of connoisseurs of comic books, anime, animation, video games, fantasy, sci-fi, and other geek culture.

And don't worry about hurting anyone's feelings with that geek tag. The event and its fans are proud to let their geek flag fly at panels, film screenings, Q&As, photo ops, costume contests, parties, workshops and other events. Vendors will be on hand with comic books, Japanese snacks, toys, books and art.
This year's Supercon also features the inaugural Geek Film Festival, with guest filmmakers, screenings, more Q&As and other activities.
Guests include actors Bruce Boxleitner ("Tron," "Babylon 5"), Todd Stashwick ("Heroes"), Dorian Gregory ("Charmed"), Cindy Morgan ("Tron") and others.
There also will be dozens of celebrities on the comic-book side, including artist Charles Adlard ("The Walking Dead") and Sheldon Moldoff, who drew Batman comics from the 1940s through the 1960s.
For cartoon and anime fans, there will be appearances by Richard Horvitz (voice of Invader Zim), Gregg Berger ("Transformers," "G.I. Joe"), Troy Baker ("Full Metal Alchemist"), Brittney Karbowski ("Soul Eater"), Dana Snyder ("Aqua Teen Hunger Force"), Melissa Fahn ("Cowboy Bebop"), Bill Rogers and Michele Knotz (both of "Pokemon").
The FSC Music Festival will include performances by Motion City Soundtrack, Celldweller, Lemon Drop Kick, The Long Johns, Crimson, Sci-Fried, SS Hanami, DJs and more.
Admission? Single-day tickets range from $15 to $25, with various multiple-day passes also available. Four-day passes start at $47.50, and there are more expensive VIP packages. The convention center is at 711 NW 72nd Avenue, Miami.
