Notable moments of the 2012 presidential election
Bill Clinton's rousing DNC speech
The highlight of the Democratic National Convention ended up coming not from Obama but from former President Clinton. In a keynote address that ran far over schedule and late into the night, Clinton delivered a common-sense, point-by-point repudiation of Republican ideology and offered a defense of the Obama administration's sometimes rocky first term. "No president, no president -- not me or any of my predecessors, no one -- could have repaired all the damage he found in just four years," Clinton said. "But he has laid the foundation for a new, modern, successful economy."
