• Suspect Bacterial Meningitis In Kosciusko County
The Kosciusko County Health Department confirms it is investigating a suspected case of bacterial meningitis.
Health Department spokesperson Teresa Miller says a teenage boy has suspected case of strep pneumonia that led to bacterial meningitis.
Miller confirmed the boy is not a student at a local school
She also said this type of meningitis is not generally spread easily from person-to-person, and generally doesn't affect healthy people.
Two months ago, 14-year-old Harrison Fidler died from a different kind of suspected bacterial meningitis.
Miller says the two cases are not related.
